I truly can't recommend Souma Leather enough. My leather protector looks so awesome on my Brompton – I love it.
I've had my eye on this for some time now and so happy with my purchase. It fits perfectly in the space of the M bars and is large enough for my iphone, keys and other bits. Marek's craftsmanship is superb as ever, very pleased!
The leather feels great, love the packaging and note. Great attention to detail, the included conditioner is a very welcomed touch, though I have my own mix of beef tallow and beeswax mixture. Even though originally, leather bar tapes go on steel bikes, this one will wrap a carbon handlebar. Classic meets modern.
I ordered the brown one but received the black one, but it’s not a big deal, just don’t want to do the return and replace process. Good quality product.
I hope it’d come with curve that perfectly matches the top tube. But it’s good quality product, and I think it might adapt to the curve eventually,since it’s leather.
No words can’t describe fine craftsmanship. The leather smells and feels great to touch. Yeah, the sew on version is tricky. But there’s no difference between the velcro one. So if You don’t have patience or good manual skills, then head straight for the velcro one and enjoy a great addon for your Brampton.
Massive props, the cover is spot on. The sew on variant took me a while to put it properly, but the finished job is terrific. If You don’t have patience just pick the velcro version.

There’s not too much I can say about what is a relatively simply leather wrap piece of protection for my beloved Brompton, other than that the manufacturing quality does indeed seem very high! It should be, however, at the price one must pay for this item, which is my reason for 4 stars rather than 5 - value would be 5/5 if this was slightly cheaper! Thank you Souma Leather for a great little item!
Easy to install (sowing variant) after watching a video. The material is veeeery high quality. May Brompton folds like a dream from nowon. Before, I was always worrying about producing scratches while folding. Now it glides smoothly into position.
Excellent craftsmanship, great leather that will age beautifully and matches nicely to a brooks saddle. Thanks to the bag there is now an aesthetic and reliable way to store away and ABUS Bordo on a Brompton C-Line.
This is a cleanly cut piece of leather that wraps around the hook area of the Brompton and is secured with a velcro fastener. Installation is simple and it fits the spot well. The workmanship is neat and the piece feels well made.
The delivery arrived quickly. The Souma Leather carrying handle for the Brompton feels well made and the leather quality is very good. The handle is attached with large rivets, which makes it feel solid and secure. Overall the workmanship looks clean, and it fits the Brompton very nicely.
Exceptional quality product with beautiful packaging. There was a problem with poor communication from UPS the courier but the customer service from Marketa was first class. Highly recommended and much better than the cheaper alternatives.
To start with I was impressed with the design and simplicity of the packaging. It was a bit of fun to carefully open it all up with the anticipation of what was to come and I was not disappointed. Leather is very tactile and the quality is impressive including the smell. It was all a pleasure to fit and then to admire giving the very British Brompton a lot of European flair. Dekuju.
So why am I paying £40 for what could be a £2 Velcro strap, yes it is extravagant and it could be covered far cheaper. so I bought it for the same reason as other people buy beautiful well crafted products, it brings joy and satisfaction. The leather is gorgeous and it’s obviously hand made. Extravagant but worth it.
