We are using only exquisite full grain vegetable tanned leather from the Walpier tannery in Tuscany, Italy for all of our products. Buttero is characterized by a smooth grain side surface with deep, rich colors. This naturally tanned leather is the best, lasting and most natural leather kind which is produced.

All of the three different colors: BLACK, BROWN and HONEY and they are all great match for Brooks saddles.

The Walpier tannery was founded in 1974. It is a member of Italian Vegetable Tanned Vera Leather Consortium, which exists to guarantee the quality of the raw material and workmanship of vegetable tanneries in the Tuscan region.

The Genuine Italian Vegetable-Tanned Leather Consortium regulates, preserves and guarantees the production of vegetable-tanned leather made in Tuscany through its quality trademark: Pelle Conciata al Vegetale in Toscana //Tuscan Vegetable-Tanned Leather.
